“Living with art” can have several interpretations, but the main one is that of relating and cohabiting with the concept of creation, or what it is to enjoy the work of art very close, which is can observe, touch and feel part of it. That’s why ArtLiving, a term coined by the multidisciplinary artist Lourdes Fisa, starts from the idea of integrating in the same creative space different ways of expression such as architecture, interior design and design.
Now, at the Monjo Museum we have the opportunity to see some of his works where he incorporates a new way of understanding art, since painting, engraving and stamping coexist in the same work through various supports such as glass, metal, fiberglass, wood, paper and fabric. According to Lourdes Fisa, the important thing is to “enjoy art from the emotion and experience”.
Despite being an artist with an extensive international career, this is the first time she is showing her work in Vilassar de Mar. When she visited the museum she was captivated by the exhibition space, although she has developed many projects in European museum centres. It is essential for her to know well the place where she has to exhibit her work, since she has to integrate it perfectly which, in fact, is another way of “living with art”, even if it is ephemeral
Lourdes Fisa’s work moves within abstraction, also being interested in the human figure from a schematic perspective. Gesture, matter, color and line join the fragments of letters, poems, symbols, maps, paths, crossroads…, everything that means discovering new paths, experiences and situations that serve to achieve your aesthetic goals . All these ways of expression are part of his creative ideology, through painting, engraving, drawing, sculpture, enamel, photography, video or installation, and can emerge in the same piece the four elements that make up nature: water, fire, air and earth.
